Rogers - Work from Home
Hello,
through linkedin, came across a person who is offering call center type (work from home) job for rogers. Does anyone has any idea, how legit it is or its SCAM?
Thank you for your suggestions!

Thats sounds fishy. Im pretty sure rogers does all recruiting via its career's website. I would call up their recruiting department and check if this is legit.

Rogers doesn't contract their call centres out to people working from home.

Does it have anything to do with Arise? I also got offered the position but I turned it down because of the long period of training most of which was unpaid (you only get paid a flat amount).
Do you own due diligence to determine whether its legit but I have seen this job posting with some agencies like Adecco so I don't think it is. They are hiring a lot apparently

According to my friend, Rogers does have agents working from home. You need a laptop and a land line.

Horrible assumption. Typical RFD calling fishy/scam on anything.
Calling Rogers recruiting may not lead to anything as Rogers probably has a managed services agreement with an outsourcing partner.
So is it fishy if you work from home for IBM but your doing tech support work for Rogers as the client?

Hi all,
The work-at-home position with Rogers is 100% legitimate. I've been recruiting for over a week or so, and have received well over 100 resumes. Rogers offers a $300 certification bonus for completing training. The training is extensive and runs just over a month. We've added an extra $200 to that out of our own pocket, so you get paid $500 for certification instead of $300. May not be a lot more, but every little bit helps right?
