The confirmation PDF just says start date March 22 2019 and end March 21 2020. Price of 34.99. I was honestly willing to pay the 34.99 right away but since they were willing to future date it's a bonus!

Second try, they are offering 500U for 49.99 plus Tax and that's the lowest. I am going to try with another agent via Chat.

Third attempt, talked to a manager via Chat and again the 49.99 plus Tax was the best they could do.

Going to try calling now.

I called 1-866-737-4159 and got the 34.99 deal for 12 months
I'm also on the $25 March 2018 deal. Is your $35 price effective immediately or will start end of the $25 pricing?

Called in, i have $25 500u expires early April. They do have the plan $34.99 available for me but would not future date it.

Whats the time period to future date? March expiry from thread seem to get future date.

EDIT: 45 days per chat. Also chat offered 500u for $35.35 pretax. Can't get promo to be future dated then

I got an email a few minutes after calling. Speed is up and running at higher rate. Email confirms discounts good to January 2020.

jamesdavid3 wrote: When I called 1-866-737-4159 it went directly to someone - I would recommend trying again as they definitely have this 34.99 offer. Make sure you start off saying how much you like Rogers Internet and want to stay with them etc and also mention that you want to pay around the same price as you are currently and then they should say something like how great of a Valued customer you are and they don't want to lose you. Don't mention the 34.99 offer as they should offer it to you.
Thanks I tried again and this time it went directly to a rep. I'm not sure what happened the first time when it told me to pick the number of my desired option.

Anywho so happy I got this for $39.99, which works out to be $23 cheaper than my current plan and significantly faster.

Funny thing is that a bunch of RFDers have been calling in. Rep was quick to ask how I got the number and asked if I got it online? I assume it was a leading question to get me to answer RFD...but I said it was from a friend, not RFD...I know the rules of not mentioning RFD when it comes to these deals lol

Anywho thanks guys. I love it when I end up paying less for a much better product/service.

Same here.
Negotiated a 500u $34.99 deal yesterday evening, had a confirmation number but no email yet.
Last March when got the promotion, received email shortly after the call.

wild_warren wrote: I switched from Teksavvy yesterday and this is the deal that I was offered. The bill will show $44.99 and $10 modem fee.
The guy on the phone told me modem will be included in $54.99 price. The total is $62.14 after taxes.
I will call down the line and try to get 500Mbps plan as mentioned here.
Update:
Called 1-866-737-4159 today and explained that I would like higher tier 500Mbps plan and agent said she had a plan for $80.
Asked if there was anything else she could do and she put me on hold.
She came back with price of $49.99 which was supposedly a promo that expired yesterday.
At this point, I ended up taking the deal and upgrading from $54.99 150Mbps to $49.99 ($39.99 + $10 modem) 500Mbps for 12 months.
It's not as great as $34.99 but good enough for me as I had just switched from Teksavvy 2 days ago.

My friend in a condo got this offer after cancelling with Rogers. After swapping modem to get the 500 speed, the rep at the store somehow also applied a $10 credit for 6 months promotion on top.

I've never heard of this before and don't know if this means some sort of contract.

Anyone else got this discount?

Hola
I am at Ninth Line and Derry. I have the $40 tax included plan - 1GB down / 30 Mb up, modem rental included,12 months. It is going to expire early March. I had to call in and attempt to cancel last year before they were able to offer me this deal. I dread the time has now come for me to go through this song and dance again with them... sigh...

Someone a few pages back stated they were able to get the 500 speed package for $24.99 the first 6 months, with the price increasing to $34.99 the next 6 months. I was thinking they were able to waive the $10 modem fee for the first 6 months like your friend had gotten.

I didn't (but wish I did) bring up the question about the $10 credit per month for the first 6 months, but was able to get the $34.99 promo in a downtown condo. My parents (house in Richmond Hill) also got the $34.99 promo.

Howdy! Just joined after lurking for some time on RFD..

I was able to take advantage of this deal recently. For those wondering, the number above is the direct number to cancellation at Rogers. They will ask you how you got the number, and I personally just went with the colleague card and that you were unhappy with your service for some reason. For me, they couldn't fix the reason I complained about so they offered this plan instead. It's either 34.99 x 12 months at 0.5 GB/s OR 44.99 x 12 months at 1 GB/s.

Just have to be careful in general that your plans will auto revert back to standard rates if you're not careful to check your bill regularly.
