There's a separate promotion for hood fans. the Venmar and Broan event that's today and tomorow as well, 25% off on range hoods of 119$ or more and on bathroom fans of 59.99$ or more. And this is pretty HOT because I just tried adding a hood in the online Rona cart and the VIP20 code stack on the 25% applied in the cart for hoods and fans!!

For example, I tested with the "Broan BCS3 Series Range Hood - 30" - Stainless Steel" at regular 189$, add to cart there's the 25% off tacked on automatically, than you add promo code VIP20 and there you have an extra 20% off which makes the final price before tax at 113.40$.

EDIT: seems like Rona system might be off, you actually get 40% off, it doesn't apply the full 25% and only applies 20% twice from the original price once you add the VIP20 code.

Flooring is 20% off (I tried it in the Rona online cart with a Mono Serra laminate and it gives 20% off).

Actually, both are applied one at a time (1-.25)x(1-.2)=.6, i.e. 40% off.

Don't forget ebates for an extra 3%.

Why do these deals typically require a minimum purchase of $100?

Because they want you to spend more money ?

It's like restaurants having you buy a drink when they have wing specials. They make a little less money on wings, but make up for it with the drink.
