Home Depot on Halifax wouldn't match the 15% off sale.

But it was kind of justified since I needed insulation and Rona didn't carry the same brand that Home Depot carried.

I would have rathered the Home Depot gift cards though.

Price matched a Makita compressor and when all said and done, paid $340 + tax for a $430 tool I wanted/needed plus $52 gift card plus airmiles.

I'm a builder and purchase quite a few items from the home centers so, this gift card will get used.

In my experience, Rona honours their policies and products and this pm went smooth.

To answer my own question now that I've done it: Yes HD will match this deal . I went in on Sunday morning and walked up to the service desk. Told them I wanted them to match this offer. They said since they don't have an option to PM with a gift card they used the PM option and dropped 15% from the price. This worked out better for me in the end, I'd rather have 15% off than 15% in gift cards. I bought a $1299 Ariens 30 snowblower, saved $200 !!

I went to homedepot and asked to match it.The manager said, he can only give me 10% off.I bought hardwood floor for $6000.00
But, he should match 15% off. But 10% off better than nothing.

I bought red oak natural canadian brand. $87.17 per box, but ,there is a promotions "No Tax" (13% off) any hardwood floor .So,$87.17-13%off=$75.83 per box.Then i got 10% off . $75.83-10% off ($7.58)=$67.xx per box.I bought 75 box hardwood floor 75 X $67.xx
Delivery fee $60.00
I saved $585 (10%off)
But, the manager should match 15% off not 10% off.
Now,i did mistake my calculation about how many boxes i need.I thought 75 boxes ennough.But i calculated again now,i need 100 boxes,
I went to homedepot today and asked additional 25 boxes, but they don't want give me 10% off.So, i didn't order additional 25 boxes.

How about Rona hardwood floor selection?

Now, i looking for hardwood floor installer.Any idea?

You should revisit RONA's store, their prices are far more competitive than they were before.

Also, you need to understand how their store model works. It's not as simple as HD or Lowes. If you go to the big box stores (Home & Garden), you will get the cheaper prices. If you to smaller stores (Cashway, Lansing or Home Centre), you will pay more.
