Very good price on these. Ordered a bunch to finish the basement of my new build.

Is it thin? Yeah. It does the job at the end of the day, but you can tell it's the cheap shizz when walking on it. I have personally put in 15mm in my rentals, and would not use anything below 12mm.

Its not going to break. Not top qualitystuff but it sure beats the painted concrete i have right now Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Tightly-closed Eyes

no,
the base layer is made of MDF. that's why 8mm is a bit too thin unless it is lay on top of concrete slab.

MDF is for 12mm laminate. This one is 8mm HDF

ALL laminate floorings use "fiberboard(MDF)" as base!

No they don't. MDF stands for MEDIUM density fiberboard and HDF stands for HIGH density fiberboard.
They are not the same. HDF is much harder than MDF.

8mm uses HDF and 12mm use MDF. Gives the about the same resistance but the 12mm MDF will feel softer

This stuff could look good on my cabin walls...anyone have experience putting laminate flooring on walls? The panels meant for walls are much more expensive.

Its easier to put up 4x8 wall panels but yeah its do-able
