[Rona] *WARM* Kamado Joe Classic 999$ (starts april 25) PM potential?

This deal starts tomorrow at Rona.

It's the first version and stores are clearing it out I guess. Lowe's also had it for the same price a few weeks ago.

This might be a good deal if a store would PM it for a 10-15% off.

The 2nd version is 1599ish I think.

What else is different with the 2nd KJ?

What's the difference between this one and the one sold at Costco (Louisiana grill 24" $800)?

This one is 2 generations old. They just released the classic 3.

In addition to the easier to open lid and cap that keeps rain out, it looks like the new one includes a kick Ash basket and the sloroller, some new smoke circulating thing

I disagree the lid is not that heavy to lift.

I actually prefer the joe without the latch and I could buy the new cap for $80 if I wanted but I don't need it now.

Classic 1 is still great value I'm.

Just bought this last week at Costco for $799. Did my first cook on it yesterday and it was awesome!!! Seems to be a high quality build. Thermometer was somewhat accurate vs my digital thermometer. I smoked a pulled pork for 11 hours at 250 and had no issue maintaining the temp.

This thing is like 300 pounds so you will need help carrying it.

They just dropped the price to 699$. Go check if you can have a price adjustment!

Don't know which store it was, it was posted in a bbq facebook page group in Quebec.

Someone also posted about it on RFD earlier this week.

Don't know why I came in here thinking this was a deal on a solid toilet. Kamado Joe sounds more like a kings throne than a barbecue.

Called two Costcos today to confirm price, and it's still shows $799 from their end.

I bought mine at 799$ in quebec city (Ste-Foy store) last friday. They went on sale yesterday and none were left today! Since they are out of stock, they wont match the price :-(
I did use twice last weekend, and I think that even at 799 they are a great value...

My researched pushed me to get the kamado joe. Reason is the accessories, the 2 zones, the great customer service, guaranty, and availability of parts. For $200 difference it was a no brainer on this one.

I just came back from Costco Thorncliffe and the Louisiana Grill 24" kamado was down to 739.98 with two boxes + floor model. Unfortunately the floor model didn't feel too good, poorly put together (i.e lid didn't close properly).
I ended up buying the Kamado Joe classic through Lowe's price match, price came down to $899.1+tax (total $1,015.98) + airmiles! ...tried to push my luck and get the free delivery and assembly which is valid until May 1 but he said that code does not stack on top of the additional 10% off from price match. They did offer free assembly for free instore pickup though.

I'm wondering if the version Rona sells has the 4 part firebox and the 2 half moon heat deflector that comes with it?
