I placed an order for mine on June 16 for the 42mm Space Grey and haven't received any emails about it being shipped yet. Will keep everyone updated if there is movement.j3rilynn wrote: ↑ I actually spoke to someone at RBC after fighting through the call centres, and she let me know that after doing an investigation, the watches are on back order, and there is no time limit for when they will be back in stock. I don't know if this is just for the one I ordered (rose gold 42 mm) or for all of them. Hope this helps.

Maybe the IPhone is in stock for individuals choosing that option.
I just received an email confirmation for shipment of my space grey 42mm watch.
I ordered on the 16th of June.

I fulfilled the criteria before they started sending emails on the 15th. Completed my checkout June 16th. Just received a shipping email yesterday (July 7th). They shipped it via FedEx International Priority so it says delivered by July 12th at 12pm.
Hope that helps others.

Did anyone here order an Apple Watch (gold/blue) after finishing the requirements? And if yes, when did you receive it?

I opened the account back in mid May and got an email notification on June 16th about the promo and to select a product. I switched everything over as I wasn't happy with the bank I was with at the time.

I believe there aren't any taxes or additional fees. I am waiting until mid August to open the account with RBC... have to say that from sll the bad reviews about the bank, I am a bit hesitant...misskissie wrote: ↑ Are there any other fees or taxes on the $274? I myself was furious with RBC after pre approving me on a mortgage and how I was using my RRSP as a first time home buyer, then I put the deposit on a new build (condo) down then almost lost the deposit after they called me saying "we made a mistake, you can't use the HBP because the closing date is more than a year away".FamilyDealz wrote: ↑ I believe there aren't any taxes or additional fees. That I guess I should have known as it's a rule with the CRA, but how was I supposed to know since the mortgage "specialists" at RBC told me it was fine.
Thankfully I got my deposit back but lost $150 to the lawyer that was looking over the documents. I am looking around on which bank to switch to, I have an account with tangerine but everything like my TFSA and RRSP and a bunch of other things are with RBC.
Once I pay off my LOC I'm switching. Probably January next year.

Does anyone know if a Tangerine PAD is considered as Pre-Authorized Payment?

Looking for some opinions on this deal relative to my situation:
My current cell contract w/ Telus is within 3 months of expiring but rather than getting a $0 iPhone SE with them and paying for more monthly services than I need, would it be less expensive to get the phone with this RBC promotion and pay lower monthly fees with Telus and consider the $14.95/month (+$79) the cost of financing a new phone?
All ideas are welcome

Last time, I took the offer for free Ipad, and close the account only after 3 months. So essentially I got the Ipad for only $50ish. At the time of closing account, I wasn't told to pay any penalty and I didn't get billed for penalty of not keeping account for 12months. I just signed up again last month, already filled all missions, and they told me Iphone is on the way. Hope this time, I will be lucky again and get away for just paying 3-5 months fee.

Can anybody tell me if this would be a good idea? Need a new phone so would consider paying the monthly account fee as financing the phone over 12 months.

Personally I would pass, but that's because I already am happy with the free banking I get at other banks. Paying $80 for a phone, plus $15 a month is not too different from just paying a cell provider $15 for a "tab". Koodo often has the SE for $0 on tab small, which is $15/mo. So you save the $80 up front.
Now if you need a bank account anyway, and for some reason aren't interested in the free ones available, then perhaps this could be worth consideration.

It's probably the best smartwatch for iPhone, given the restrictions 3rd parties need to work around (unlike Android, where any mfg can essentially take advantage of all features). I love my Apple Watch, but a lot will come down to what you want to use it for. For me, it's mainly for select notifications and the ability to quick reply to messages (SMS/Whatsapp/FB Msgr), and see the weather at a glance without pulling out my phone. It's been helpful to answer calls too when my phone is charging in another room.
