Rude Asian lady, or just no respect towards teens?
Ok, so my parents are out, and left me some cold rice for dinner. I had nothing to go with the rice, so I went to the chinese supermarket across the street for a can of fish. I'm a teenager, and I'm no hoodlum or anything, I wore a polo with a puffy jacket over it, and did not look like a trouble maker or anything.
So I grab my can of fish, take out a toonie, and hold both of the items in my hands. I am pretty much ready to pay and just leave. So i walk up to the cashier who is serving a large family, so i wait in line. One asian lady (a See Lai if you know what i mean) came to the front, and look at the line beside mine only to find out it is closed. She was carrying about 5 items, and was holding a credit card, not cash. She LOOKS at my items which is a can of fish and a toonie, and she just cuts right in front of me.
What the hell eh? I am only going to take two seconds to scan and pay, and yet you think you will get out the door that much quicker by getting in front of me? I didn't want trouble, so I let it slide. But I was angry nonetheless. And yes, she took a hell of alot of time to pay by credit card, and then having trouble swiping and everything making me wait longer.
Disrespect against teens?
Or are asian women just plain rude?

you shouldn't generalize it as ASIAN women. I'm sure it is a DL(Dai Look) women.
I've seen non-sense like that before. I was going to do something about it but my parents stopped me.
And once, I saw a DL lady complain over a bag to the cashier to hold up the line. What the cashier did was take her jug of milk out of the clear plastic bag and scan it but didn't put it back in the bag. She complained all over that.

Touche, You cannot get mad after the fact, however I can see how it angers you the more you think about it. In reality you should have said something, ignorance must be stopped. and lets not assume it's just becuase shes asisn or theres some sort of ageism at play here, perhaps it was plain old ignorance at its best.

Why didn't you say anything? I usually say *sweetly*, as if they weren't aware, that the line actually starts back there (or goes in this direction behind me). Sometimes it truly is difficult to discern whether people are in line to pay or just standing around. I don't think I've ever outrightly accused someone of cutting in front of me.
