I listen to the music of the wind blowing by me as I run at my lightning pace
Seriously though, I really just listen to the wind and try to enjoy my surroundings. Many races now don't allow the use of music devices, so why train with them?

Nowadays I just focus on my breathing and the sounds around me.
Running with music on (especially loudly) can be very dangerous (unless you're on a treadmill or running in a circular track)._______________
From a "Family" reviewer: "We Cheer teaches coordination, enticement to lust, women being used as sex objects, and team work."
From Worthy Playing: "We Cheer is, then, for all intents and purposes, the F-Zero GX of music games. It asks for so much, yet forgives so little. It is actually so casual that it's hardcore."

I love listening to Alexisonfire's album "Crisis"
but really, anything fairly fast (rock, hiphop, anything) is good.

During the winter I treadmill it with D&B and metal stuff. In warmer weather when I run outside I just listen to my surroundings while I breathe in car and bus exhausts. I've thought about using my MP3 player during these 10k runs in my neighbourhood but I've had too many close calls with people who don't trim their hedges and me getting close to getting t-boned by cars backing out of their driveways. Theres an abandoned school with a track nearby so maybe I'll use my mp3 for that.
