Ryerson - FRE 201 vs FRE 301
Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone had taken either of these courses before. I'm currently enrolled in 301 next semester, but I haven't looked at any french since the 10th grade (going on 4 years now) and don't feel confident enough to take an intermediate course. However I took a placement test last winter and the French department told me to take 301. My french skills (which are very rusty LOL) don't go beyond conjugating present tense, passe compose, le futur proche, and l'imperatif because that's all we ever did in high school.
Can anyone tell me what kind of material is covered in either of these classes? The course descriptions online are extremely vague.

I found the course outlines on the Ryerson website for 201 and 301:
http://www.ryerson.ca/french-spanish...ent/fre201.pdf
http://www.ryerson.ca/french-spanish...fre301-401.pdf
I got them from here:

The outlines tell you what books you will be using, but it doesn't specifically tell you what content you will be covering. I suggest you call the French department and ask them regarding the content.
