I remember hearing stuff like that too, but it sometimes depends too on the highschool you go to and the courses you take.
For example a guy with all three U maths, bio, physics, chem with a 75% average would carry more weight than the guy with 82% and Data Management, Photography, Art, Drama, History etc..._______________

Ryerson isn't all that competitive to get into; although a B+ grade doesn't leave a lot of leeway, there's a very good chance you'll get in.

well, ryerson is trying very hard to improve the business program..
a raise in admission standards is inevitable..

Going to York after the strike has ended is actually not a bad idea because there's statistically a low chance of it happening again within the next four years.

Jan 9th, 2009 11:23 PM #14I'm not entirely convinced it's York's fault. If anything, I think the union has made a very VERY pathetic attempt at fixing the problem. By refusing to use binding arbitration, it's obvious that they know their demands are unreasonable. And even worse, they want an agreement that would allow them to strike again with other school unions. If anything, they're not trying to fix the problem, they're exacerbating it.it's not the strike that's scaring people away.. it's the horrible management..the strike just shows how impotent the administration is

lol that just shows you have no idea whats going on, the uni(york) has been trying to get them to sign a 3 year deal and they arnt signing it because they want a 2 year deal that will give them the opportunity to strike again in 2010 when all the other TA Unions will renegotiate their contracts
so another strike in the next 2 years is very likely
