She was previously in IB - in particular a more science/math oriented program so she is already experienced in finance, and had credits in ECN so she just transferred them. That's why many of the majors were ruled out. She does like the program and is doing very well (CGPA 4.00+), she just doesn't know what she wants to major in. Which is why I asked the previous questions in regards to L&B. if she doesn't like what she hears she'll major in ACC.
Any way, still looking for people's thoughts on Law and business major.

Hey I'm a CS major (going into first year) but I'd also like to minor in Math. What is the process of applying to minor in math? Do I simply select the additional courses required for the minor on RAMSS when it's time to select/schedule courses?

Maybe she should consider going beyond undergraduate with that CGPA of hers? Consider finding if L&B provides a good gateway to graduate programs or anything post-undergrad?
You just take the courses required for the minor and apply for the minor around the time when you graduate. Here are the relevant tables:
http://www.ryerson.ca/calendar/2012-2013/pg1310.html
http://www.ryerson.ca/calendar/2012-2013/pg2945.html
MTH110 and MTH210 are already required in your program, so you need another 4 courses as the math minor states - these will be on your professionally related (PR) table.
PR Table: http://www.ryerson.ca/calendar/2011-2012/pg1186.html --->However it says you are only allowed to a maximum of 3 math credits even though you need another 4 ............. maybe you should clarify with your program department?

Maybe that's the max amount of credits standard tuition covers? I'll give them a call asap.
Edit: It specifies only a max of three math courses can be taken between the 5th and 8th semester (I guess the have requirements on which professional credits you need). Wouldn't I be able to choose any three from this table? http://www.ryerson.ca/calendar/2012-2013/pg1330.html Then I'd only need one more which I can take any time during sem 1-4 provided I have the pre-req's.
But thanks bro, I appreciate all the help you've given me thus far.

Basically, if you take extra courses, that is just pretty much paying another $500 for another course that won't really be part of your CGPA but can be used to fulfill other requirements such as getting a minor. What you said really confused me so I'll try to reply with my reasoning:
The minor table lists the following requirements:
One of the following: MTH110 OR MTH314 --->This section is fine as you take MTH110 in your 1st semester
One of the following: MTH312/MTH330/MTH425 --> You can only take MTH330 off your PR table. So you now have 2 more choices you can pick off your PR table.
Four of the following (its a huge list):
First Course: MTH210 (taken in your 2nd semester so you are OK here)
Second Course: None of your other core MTH courses are listed, so you have to choose off your PR table. You now have one more choice off your PR table.
Third Course: Same scenario above, now you have zero choices off your PR table.
Fourth Course: ....?? No other options
Other info: Here are the other MTH courses that you will take but cannot be used toward your math minor: MTH207, MTH310, MTH108, MTH304 . Out of these four courses, you could ask your department to substitute them for one of the courses on the math minor list. The courses probably overlap them in some way (or I'm sure the program has had people in the past who wanted to do a math minor and asked for the same exception here)

Quick question: for full-time students who enroll in Chang courses today, what is the deadline for payment? Is it immediate or some time in early September?

I registered for a Chang class about 5-6 weeks early for the Spring semester. About 3-4 weeks after I registered, i got slapped with a small late fee (about $6/ course?) for "late payment" even though some people didn't even sign up for the class and could have done it even the day before the class. I was charged even though the class did not start yet.

Yes, but talk to your program department as there are probably ways they can help you achieve the minor without taking the extra course.
