I don't know if they changed the policy yet, but this is based on my memory from about 2-3 years ago. Basically as soon as you sign up for the course you have to pay by the end of the month. It does not make that much sense, but I remember doing it for a tax course that was going to fill up instantly. I signed up in April and got hit with a small late fee in June. Had I signed up in June, I would of had until the end of June to pay with no late fee. (Of course, the class would of been filled by then).
Being a full time student has absolutely no effect on the fees for Chang School. It is treated as completely different. For example, the business program offers one solid tuition price whether you take 5-7 (could be 6-7) courses. If you turn the 6 into one Chang + five normal, you pay extra as opposed to to taking all 6 through normal day. However, sometimes you can play around with it. I had a semester with 4 classes where the same night class (same prof + day) was offered to students either in Chang or through the normal way. I ended up saving about 100 bucks by taking it through Chang.
This is all based on memory from about 2-3 years ago, I doubt that the policies have changed since then.

Out of the 6 courses I took during this Winter semester, 4 of them were Chang (so 2 day school). Compared to my tuition cost to the previous winter (which was 6 DAY school courses), my tuition cost went up over $445 (about $3167 to $3515). The only good thing about it is that your account statements are more descriptive when you do Chang classes (you get to see where all your money is going to) while in the normal day school, the statement seems a bit too general.

Hey guys, I would like to know if there are any courses offered at Ryerson to improve my interview skills/communication skills. I really had a tough time getting a job and this was due to my lack of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Sometimes I don't know what to say in the interview because I just go blank or I just can't form my thoughts properly into a formal sentence. I speak fluent English and write fluent English (as you can probably see). I would appreciate it if any of you can recommend me to a course on the Ryerson campus this term that will help me improve my communication skills and any feedback of the course would be great as well. Thanks.

You can always book an appointment with a career Councillor (I'm assuming your a Ryerson student). Or otherwise you can speak to the communications department themselves, they can guide you to the correct course you want.

I took a communications course with one of the profs, Ava Cross. Even though she was a hard marker I felt more confident in my preparation and execution of presenting in front of others after taking the course with her. Of course there was grammar exercises that were extremely helpful. Despite how "grade school" the grammar exercises might sound, I think every university student needs some of them.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not a Ryerson student but will be on co-op next term so I'm guessing I'll have to contact the Communications department. What was the course code for the course you took and did it require any pre-req's? Was the course based mostly on theory and application (i.e you learn then you present) or was it just everyday you have a group discussion with the class or was it a mix?

I took CMN279 but I don't really recommend it for someone in your scenario. The department should give you a better course to take.

Hello everyone, I've graduated from Ryerson's Chemistry program this year and looking to enter into a program at Seneca. It seems that I will need to provide course outlines for direct entry so if any current or past Ryerson students have course outlines for the following courses, I would greatly appreciate your help in obtaining them. I would highly appreciate anyone's assistance in finding any of these course outlines:
BLG 143 Biology I
BLG 144 Biology II
CHY 103 General Chemistry I
CHY 113 General Chemistry II
PCS 120 Physics I
PCS 130 Physics II
MTH 131 Modern Mathematics I
MTH 231 Modern Mathematics II
Thank you very much to anyone who could provide any assistance! These are all first year courses common to all science programs at Ryerson.Last edited by forumviewer; Jul 22nd, 2012 at 03:49 PM.

Thanks for your quick response, but the course outlines I'm looking for are more detailed. They should have information such as instructor's name, grades distribution, topics covered, etc. An example of a course outline I'm looking for would be like this one for GMS 550: http://www.ryerson.ca/tedrogersschoo...inter_2010.pdf

I'm a first-year student (BM) going to Ryerson and is wondering about the RSU's deal on getting a metropass.
How much is it? or is it more cost-effective to buy the MDP (Metropass Discount Plan)?
(+ can you buy the pass from Ryerson during the summer months?)
