I just updated mine - Freedom Mobile. I wasn't notified of the update despite having "download updafes automatically" enabled. Try "Download updates manually" to kick off an update search if you don't see it. Appx 1.3 Gb in size.

Weird. I had it at 7am this morning, did you manually check for updates?

Here's how to wipe the cache : video
Yes I had to manually check and it was there..can't seem to figure out how to use Assistant though, if we even have it? I long press home button and the same google screen comes up. Thanks for the video.

Didnt get it as of yet...my S7 was originally from Jamaica (DigiCell). Unlocked now and using it in Virgin...is that the reason why?

Any issues with battery life after the upgrade? I've read that you may need to delete the cache partition?
I didn't wipe the cache, and left the default performance setting (optimized) and screen resolution (HD) and noticing improved battery life. I went off the charger at 6 AM and I still have 68% at 4 PM. I would have about 50% at this time normally.

This is a new phone, and I was pleased already with battery life, so a very happy camper.

Same. Charged 100% last night. Woke up, 9 hours later -> 98% still. Very happy with the battery life!

Looks like Nougat fixed my Bluetooth problems I was having.

Since updating my S7 edge to Nougat, there have been long delays in getting Gmail notifications when the screen is off. Anyone else experience this?

I've had that since 6.0.1 (Sep update). I'd love to know if someone has a solution.

It might be related to the doze function introduced in Marshmallow. I don't know the exact menus in Touchwizz but if you navigate to the battery settings and look for battery optimization, try removing Gmail from battery saving mode.

I love Nougat but I have two issues.
1. Gmail gives me double notification.
2. After some time if I call someone call doesn't go through and when people try to call me, it goes straight to voicemail. I have to reboot the phone to fix the issue.

For me, Gmail doesn't appear under Sleeping apps / running apps / unmonitored apps. Weird.

Another issue I've had is that WiFi disconnects when the screen is off even though I have set "Keep WiFi on during sleep" to ALWAYS. Smart network switch has also been turned off.

Now to check battery stats I have to tunnel down through Device Maintenance. It used to directly available via quick settings. It was a useful feature.
