should also consider the possibility of moving traffic damaging the car. This is especially true if its on the road with a bus route. Some1 I know had his side mirrors damaged. Should also consider the road condition as well, if its bumpy and has alot of debris, flying rocks can chip the exterior.

How long can I park on the street if there are no signs posted?
In the City of Toronto, a three-hour limit exists on public roads where no other parking regulations are posted. Signs advising visitors to the city of this regulation are posted at the access points to the city and when exiting from a Provincial highway.
The three-hour limit is enforced by calling the Toronto Police Service, Parking Enforcement Unit at 416-808-6600. This regulation is only enforced upon request.

How to be a mean neighbor
This law is actually implemented in pretty much every city, large or small. The three-hour limit is enforced by calling the Toronto Police Service, Parking Enforcement Unit at 416-808-6600. This regulation is only enforced upon request.
I can see there a legit reasons for invoking this law, but it seems mostly used by cranky old ladies who live on desolate suburban streets and get a thrill from ruining people's day.
I lived with a friend in a townhouse for a while that only had 1 parking space + garage. Each time we were too lazy to park in the garage overnight, their would almost always being parking tickete in the morning. This is on a wide suburban street in Kanata.

It's never safe to park on the streets. Accidents pwnz3d you. Even if they don't hit and run it's still a hassle to deal with. I would park on the driveway.

I do that all the time in past winters. Mofos park on the street and then it snows like ass. the plows come and they get blocked in. eventually they climb out but then the snow bank is there. so the following night they park OUTSIDE of the snow bank... plows come and block them in again.
eventually, a "four lane" wide road (really just two lanes plus parking) becomes one lane wide for two way traffic. fack that.
i called parking authority like several times a night with different voices and names. By midnight they were there with 5 tow trucks in a massive tow op.
