I was at Jacob in West Edmonton Mall this morning around 8:30am and there debit & credit cards machines are sooooo slow. When I walked by their store again at 10am, they had signs on their doors saying that they can only take cash until further notice. They had problems with their machines since Moonlight Madness nights and they didn't do anything to fix it. They even told the customers on those nights that they can only use two cash registers max because using all three registers will slow their debit & credit card transactions and may even crash their system. Geez, you think they would learn and try to fix the problem before Boxing Day instead of waiting for their system to crash and then try to fix it. When I was in the store, the managers frantically called whomever to get their machines to speed up but that doesn't work obviously.

The Debit/CC problem was not just at Jacob. Sportchek/Coast Mountain had simillar problems yesterday morning. Mastercard and Debit were messed up, Visa was so-so. We had to wait over 30 minutes to get our visa WEM gift card to work! What a day to have the system go down!
