Saltwater aquarium experts!

Hey everyone,

So I had originally decided to do a freshwater setup but have now decided to change to saltwater.

I purchased some fine hagen substrate that's very close to sand. I was wondering if this stuff will still be fine in saltwater? I will add crushed coral on top. I'd prefer to mix them, rather than removing it and replacing with crushed coral.

I suggest you look for more exhaustive information on the internet rather an asking here. If all you're looking for is someone to say "good thats okay" then don't go look for other information. If this is your first aquarium and you're going saltwater I wish you luck becuase i'm willing to bet all of your stock is going to DIE.
