The latest rumor is that the S4 will get an S-Pen. So with a 5" screen does Samsung really need the Note?

I read this on Flipboard.

I personally wouldn't mind especially with the 6.2" Note 3 rumors going around. I'm very happy with the Note 2's 5.5." I would prefer if Samsung just end it and give us a 7"+ Note tablet to compete with Apple's iPad mini.

It’s been a month since the last Samsung Galaxy S IV rumour hit the web and today there’s a fresh one. A refresh of previous rumours had Samsung launching this in April 2013 and once again increasing the size of their flagship Android to a 5-inch display (1080×1920 resolution) with 441 pixels per inch (ppi), embedding a quad-core processor and a 13-megapixel camera, plus running Jelly Bean.

The new rumour is from overseas report in Korea that says we’ll see the GS IV come with the S-Pen. This stylus was brought back to life when the Galaxy Note launched a couple years ago – which created “a new product category” for them. The inclusion of the S-PEN was reportedly confirmed by a unnamed Samsung exec. In addition, the report also indicated that the GS IV will be 9.1mm thin, which is also a bit thicker than the current Galaxy S III at 8.6mm thin.

The Galaxy S family of devices and the Note family of devices are different brands within the company. Bringing the S-PEN to the GS IV might cause even more confusion. Perhaps it will be an accessory within the box and not manufactured into the device. What do you think? Any truth to the rumour of the S-PEN coming to GS IV?

Unfortunately, the more people buy phones like the Note, the more these companies will think that bigger is better. If the Note totally flopped like many expected, I'm sure we would have seen a cap on phone sizes by now. But nope, they release humongous phones, people still buy; may as well make their flagship bigger too which seems to be their mentality.

I pre-ordered it today at Bell. It's paid for so come 27th I will get it for sure.

Once again I went with White. They had a Black S3 but I couldn't do it I regret getting Pebble Blue when I first got the Note 2 and a few weeks later I bought another one in white and loved it.

Is there going to be a 32 GB or 64 GB S4 available? I looked on the phone reservation system on Fido and it only shows a white and black 16 GB version.

I ordered my Nillkin Case & Screen Protector on eBay for it (& the hTc One). $15 shipped for both. It's all I use since the S3 came out.





Hopefully they arrive by 27th. Bell told me PAID pre-orders will arrive a few days early, which is why I paid for it instead of reserve.

Just preordered mine today, pretty pumped about it. Moving over (again) from an iPhone. Was a tough choice for me but the removable battery was the key as I've had 3 phone batteries die on me
