Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ thread - March 16th Release - Watch Samsung announce the Galaxy S9 in 12 minutes

Watch Samsung announce the Galaxy S9 in 12 minutes

from https://www.gsmarena.com/galaxy_s9_and_ ... -29815.php
Although they only go up for pre-order in the US on March 2, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ have already entered that phase up north in Canada ahead of their March 16 release.

Interestingly, the S9 and S9+ are cheaper at launch in Canada than their predecessors were last year, when the S8 went for CAD 1,035 and the S8+ commanded a price of CAD 1,115. So at least in some parts of the world the rumored price hike for the new handsets hasn't panned out.

The Canadian versions use the Snapdragon 845 chipset like those intended for the US, and not Samsung's own Exynos 9810 which can be found in devices sold elsewhere. The color versions available in Canada are Lilac Purple (pictured above) and Titanium Gray.

Announce on Feb 26th, launch on March 16th. Drives me crazy when sites say "launch" instead of "announce" or "reveal"

Video performance improvement is even better, with some graphics benchmarks topping any current available devices.

The new Exynos 9810 is a fair faster than the 845 - almost as fast as the A11. But we probably won't get it in Canada...

So it'll be the 845 in Canada? Same as the US?

Given the superior performance of the Exynos, I almost feel like it is worth the bit of hassle to import the phone from somewhere like eGlobalCentral, etc.

I emailed clove.co.uk and they said if you need warranty work done on a phone you bought from them you just need to send it back and they'll send the phone off for warranty work, will eGlobalCentral do the same?

Exynos 9810 will be everywhere except the U.S. where Qualcomm has exclusive rights to all Samsung phones.

We get the better processor / model for sure!

Also something to do with Verizon using CDMA which Qualcomm supports but Exynos and most other SoC doesn't.

Secondly, we've seen the 845 GPU performance (looks good), but I don't think anyone's leaked Exynos 9810 GPU performance yet?
Amerifriend threads need to include instructions on how to acquire an amerifriend.

There are no apostrophes in plurals! "I have 1000 posts" = correct. "I have 1000 post's" = incorrect!
Could've, would've, should've. It's simple English, people!
Voila: French, meaning "There it is!" or "Look!" Viola: A medium-sized stringed instrument Wala: An island of Vanuatu.
