The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be available in Canada starting on March 16th from most Canadian carriers. In Canada, the two smartphones will be available in ‘lilac purple’ and ‘titanium grey’.

Confirmed Canadian carriers to carry the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are Rogers, Bell, Bell MTS, Eastlink, Virgin, Fido, Telus, Koodo, SaskTel, Tbaytel, Freedom Mobile and Videotron.

Pricing Unlocked pricing for the new flagship devices are as follows: Galaxy S9 — $960 CAD Galaxy S9+ — $1,100 CAD Carrier contract pricing: Galaxy S9 — $249.00 CAD Galaxy S9+ — $379.00CAD Rogers notes that customers who purchase the Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9+ will receive a “free Samsung Fast Wireless Charging Stand3 ($90 value).”

In an email to MobileSyrup, Samsung Canada noted the following trade-in offer is also launching. “Trade in your old phone and get a minimum of $100 off in addition to the trade in value when you purchase Samsung S9/S9+ February 25-April 9, 2018. Trade in your old phone and get $150 off in addition to the trade in value when you purchase Samsung S9/S9+ (in-store only) February 25-April 9, 2018.” We have reached out to Samsung Canada for additional clarity on the promo offer.

So the pricing doesn't seem too bad on this thing, especially with the $150 trade-in offer.
Personally I'm willing to pay a bit extra and import it (with the Exynos chip) but the $1100-$150 = $950 + tax for the S9+ seems quite tempting...

That's better than what they are offering for my S7 edge = $160.

I'm still using an S5, lol. It's starting to get sluggish. Been thinking about replacing it with an s9, but I could tough it out for another year and get an s10 (assuming they do something big for the 10th).

I can't seem to find out too much on the differences between the s9 and s9+. Larger screen, better camera, more ram?

The S9 is almost $100 cheaper than the S8 on Samsung Canada's website. lol
Very strange. I'm not sure why all these news outlets like CTV are claiming that it's more expensive than the S8. Seems to be cheaper for some reason, but I'm not complaining.

Rogers contract pricing is also cheaper than the S8 release. $249 with a free wireless charger and trade in options also.

Happy to see. C$ is higher than a year ago which my be helping.

the phone looks alright but highly doubt they will sell well in Canada since its not worth upgrading from S8 brothers
and Samsung did pretty much gave away whole lot during boxing day / christmas time

dunno but I mean pretty much anyone wanted one already got one at this point...
they were on sale for ridiculous price during christmas... (koodo, $504 + tax for buyout right price with $200 GC which made the phone cost less than $400 or $0 everywhere with two years contact from bellus / robbers)
I dont think they can really do better than that

I see. My LG G4 died on me few weeks ago and I'm thinking about getting the S8+ with Koodo (small tab) on the $35 monthly plan. Got a referral link from a friend (I'm with Bell) so I have until Wednesday to activate the offer.
