i beg to differ, basement or no basement, overall uniformity of the screen is never as good as a plasma in many cases. Many lcds suffer from banding, clouding, flash lighting etc... Finally pq to price ratio is much better for plasmas.

That aside the 6 and especially 7 series are excellent well reviewed lcds, probably the best ccfls as well. Also with the future shop promo this a great buy for those looking for an lcd or cannot shop in the states.
