Samsung S2 and S2X

Anyone using one of these 2 cell phones know which one is better? I will be using it on the Telus network I read some forums and got mixed reviews.

From what I read, S2 is better via CPU and development support. S2X is pentaband, so you can use it with Wind, Mobilicity etc.

If you're using it on telus, might as well get S2.

The S2X is a 42mbps phone... Next best thing to Lte

I've tried both. S2 on Bell and S2X on Bell. Both seem identical except for the screen size and button layout to me, but I'm not a phone power user.

Go with S2. Better dev support plus better performance. S2x just has bigger screen(not by much thou) and the flexibility to be used on almost all networks in NA.

I see a few roms for the s2x on XDA.

Would apps be one reason for going with the s2 over the s2x? I've rooted and loaded CM10 for both phones. They both seem about the same in terms of speed. I'm not a power user and tend to limit myself to surfing and voice calls.

S2 has much bigger and vibrant dev support than the s2x so even if you aren't a power user. Its nice to have options to various ROMs.

Speed wise, even thou s2 is clock at 1.2. It has a better CPU/GPU hence better performance.

This is good to know. I no longer have the phones but I know my niece and nephew love playing Angry Birds on the s2.

For battery life, GS2. S2X sucks horse crap on battery life. I would trade my S2X for an S2 in a heart beat if it worked on Mobilicity.

PLus it also has a bigger battery option 2000mah if im not mistaken.
