sata 2 patitioning issue

got a 250 gb sata 2 16mb brand new drive on a BFG Ultra NF4 which supports sata 2.

The drive does not want to partition, I have installed the sata raid drivers at F6 prompt and want to run a dual boot 25GB XP 64/40GB XP Pro/balance storage.

any ideas, I have not yet tried installing XP Pro alonebut after creating the 25GB partition the system just hangs with "please wait" something is off but I can not tell what??

try partitioning with the Seagate tools.
