same deal at futureshop

Does seem like a great receive... and I happen to be looking for one right now. Just wish I had the budget for this!

Putting the price in the title is more helpful that putting the discount there.

Terrible deal. It could have been had at this price or lower all along the model year. Call up and down the Marantz dealer list and get best prices. How long can that take? 10 minutes?

Don't know the improvements over the SR7007 but if it's anything like the 7007,
beware they tend to heat up (and over-heat) at moderate to higher volumes. I had
to buy a fan to keep it cool (as suggested by Marantz themselves when I reported it).
The SR7007 is really awesome otherwise, so I am assuming the SR7008 is fantastic.
Not sure on the price though as $1799 seems kinda high nowadays.

for people who care about being future proof, especially with a $1800 purchase, i don't think it supports hcdp 2.2
