Wouldn't be surprised if he (scammer) replies with either:
Death in the family or out of country. It's always one of these that befalls scammers...

hm... best advice... Never ever emt liek that to newbies, and think of reasons why maybe a newbie would sell expensive stuff first? This doesnt apply to all users, but for myself i always research the guy, possible feedbacks, basically anything that would come to my mind that might be a scam. Research his last posts, and local meet up with newbies. Also communicating with them through msn will also help you out if its a possible scam or not. This is because ive caught about 3scams from msn conversations,, when the guy cant reply back after hes been talking non-stop. Its one of those scamming tactics.. Anyhow, im really tired, i dont evne know if what i wrote makes sense. GL

Hi I am new here but I am a seller on a number of other forums. But I just got an Email from a guy asking me if I was trying to sell him somthing.
Apparantly there is some idiot using my Heatware and username (username on a number of other forums)
my heatware id is Bal`thzar and so is my user name on most other forums that I frequent.
IF you have been contacted by a user named Bal`thzar on this forum (he apparantly signed up today) he is a scam artist trying to bilk some people using my rep.

Bal`thzar
A person name Bal`thzar offered me two of the things I wanted in my WTB posts and it was easy to tell there was a scam from the very general reponses I got. Could only ship and couldn't provide photos. I see they are now banned.
By the way, do PM's from banned members get deleted from your inbox automatically?

Man that sucks to hear. I am in the opposite boat. I am new to this board and am still reluctant to do my first transaction. Plus being from Ottawa doesn't help when most sellers are from Toronto.
