Scammed me fake canada goose jacket
So I saw her ad on kijiji selling an authentic Canada Goose jacket and we met in person. I bought the jacket for $500 and later realized it was fake. Yes I know it's my fault I bought it/didn't check it/etc, I already posted this in the Canada Goose thread and they told me to post here. I tried texting, calling, emailing her and all were ignored. I tried researching her to find out more about her, this is what I could find:
Her kijiji ads page:
http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-PostersOt...serIdZ65346777
Name: Amina Waberi
Email: ******* (used this to find her facebook and found out she goes to York U)
Cell Phone: *** *** ****
Her kijiji ads had 2 postal codes in common and they are M3C 2Z3 and M5A 3S7, I reversed postal code to address with canada post and found that they're both buildings, 10 sunny glenway and 274 sackville st, but I have no information on room #.

Wow, im surprised that you were able to find so much information about her. Hmm, if you have a lot of free time on your hands, just go to York U directly and ask around if people know this girl. then use her friends to set a trap for her

Great. where is JAC??
@OP
please post the email she sent you. (apparently she sent OP an email stating that she is studying law and knows that the police can do nothing to her. OP should just suck it up and forget about it, pretty disgusting stuff)

$500 is a lot of money... I would at least take her to civil court if the police don't get involved.

Yeah I tried threatening her by calling the cops and this is what she said:
I'm actually quite annoyed with you harassing me. First of all the jacket is not fake it was purchased from Holt Renfrew my uncle works there. It may be a older version which I may have not been aware of because I've never had one. You had a chance to take a good look and analyze the coat and you agreed to it and payed up. I have done nothing wrong from my end. But hey contacting authority? LOL be my guest you actually have no case. Any cop would tell you...you snooze, you loose. Seriously get over it. I'm a 4th year law student, heading to law school next year I'm quite knowledgeable. My older brother is a lawyer, please though contact police I actually can't wait to speak with them. Oh and I'm sitting here with my uncle who has located the receipt that its real. Ill be patiently waiting for you to send police over to my door!
I have already called the police and they said they can't do anything about it..

Can't get more disgusting than this.
Before anyone asks. There's no way this jacket was initally purchased at Holt, the jacket is fake, confirmed by 5 different users.
JAC, we need you!!

What is JAC going to do? We already found out everything we need to know about her. It was partially the OP's fault for not ensuring the jacket was authentic before buying it. The only thing left to do is take this matter to civil court, or give it up.

Agree on this one.
Police or Court won't do anything, don't waste your time. Imagine they have to involve when every one got scammed got couple hundred dollars?
Take it as a lesson and please learn.
She is just bluffing you because she know cops and court won't do anything neither.
Just move on, at most you can post her info around on Internet (like what you are doing here), that may affect her rep when people do a Google search on her later, but that's all I can think of.
