Let this be a guiding thought -
Everyone makes mistakes. We should not judge a man by the mistakes he makes but by how he resolves them.
How a man resolves his mistakes is a true sign of his character.
Had the seller explained the situation maybe we would not be "against" her as much
but what happened?
1. Allegedly she was here but did not write anything
2. "Her friends" - this includes you and other - went on an attack and said nasty things
3. Seller ignored OPs attempts at communication
4. People called the OP, who is a victim, a scammer
What are we supposed to feel?
Throughout the course of this thread, the "seller side" did nothing but build antipathy
Antipathy is dislike for something or somebody, the opposite of sympathy.
It just seems that there are so many lies coming from the "seller support team"
This could have been handled honestly - but it was not.
How did the seller work to resolve this issue?

I don't trust jenndang, ur_funneh, simaahoy and yao416 because they appear to defend scammer(s)!?
What the hell?

What would you do if a convicted pedofile came to live in your neighborhood?
If you had information about the individual - would you tell your neighbors?
Would you warn them so that they can better protect their family?
I can't believe that the "seller side" is making us out to be some sort of cyber-bullies!

Your answers :
- Move out
- No
- No, not my problem
I think you are just trying to stir up the oozy smelly brown stuff.
You would "move out" - incur huge personal expenses to move away from a pedofile
rather than make public what you know about a pedofile moving into your neighborhood?
If you said nothing, and the pedofile molested a child in the neighborhood, how would you feel?
Are you seriously saying that you would not feel bad about not having done anything to prevent the molestation?
You could live by your philosophy "not my problem"?
I don't say this often, but this seems trollish to me.
There must be something wrong with you and your sense of "society" and what a good citizen / neighbor does
to protect his neighborhood.
This is just about being a good human being.Last edited by zz000ter; Feb 9th, 2012 at 09:26 AM.

Humans are social animals - we live in a society.
Normal humans feel something called empathy towards others.
Society and civilization are based on people living by rules and helping one another (civic duty).
Then there are certain types of people that have no empathy and no sense of civic duty.
I would feel horrible if I could have prevented a crime or accident but did nothing.

That's what you get for using kijiji, where cheap bastards and scammers and dishonest people gather.
I know people who got scammed, beat up, had knives pointed at them and had their merchandise stolen.
YOU GOT OWNED! lol.
On a positive note : Lesson learned.

I have had no problems with kijiji in smaller cities I guess it's just the gta. But, I much rather sell things to people I know and check things before I buy though..
I can't believe OP bought that for $500 bucks...omg
This thread has been hilarous and keeping me occupied at work lol.
Tell that to the judge who released the individual.
