Just buy the part and fix and make it works. Meanwhile, keep tracing the seller, doesn't hurt to keep doing so. Just "try" to ask for the partial refund on the extra part you bought to make it work.

I think he's scamming you again..
I got scammed by a guy in a van for some leather coats, and I was like maybe tomorrow, but he pulled out some airline tickets and said he had to fly back to Italy tomorrow..
Turned out the coats were a pile of steaming doo doo..
Probably the same guy, but if you do meet him ask if he had leather coats for sale about 12 years ago..lol_______________
