Science @ Mac, UofT, or UTM?

UTM is easier than UT downtown in the sense that for the same quality/amount of work, you will get a higher mark at UTM. Yes the courses taught and their difficulty is comparable to downtown but prof's who have taught at downtown and UTM mention that since the results(marks) from UTM students are much lower than downtown, they mark more leinantly or bump up the marks. (e.g. a now retired prof complained the same course he taught at UTM and downtown. there was not a single A paper at UTM while the downtown papers were much much higher quality)

but if you goto UT...go downtown, all the resources is there, as well as a lot of more interesting courses.

This is what i was told by my chem teacher who went to UTM for the first 2 years, than downtown for her last 2 years. however, she said that the TA's and profs were more fair with marking at UTSG than at UTM and she got better marks at downtown.

every perosn i talk to tells me to avoid UTM b/c 1) its too hard, 2) you don't get to experience real university life, 3) their first year bio courses suck, 4) its no fun at all. so i guess UTM is outta the question.

that means its either mac or UofT downtown. which of these 2 should i got to?

I'm not here to argue. UT is UT, take your pick, but the atmosphere at UTM isn't great. There's all of like three buildings... north, south, kaneff. Oh, and one rez I saw. And a new student centre.

Not to mention the guys look like gangstars or the girls look like they could go to high school...

That's all IMO, so take it with a grain of salt. All I'm saying is that student life and atmosphere at UTM could be a lot better.

edit: And congrats! What did you just finish in? Are you going to be working starting the fall?

Actually there are 5-6 residences, its just that they are not next to the buildings, the campus is pretty big in terms of acreage so the residences tend to be spread out.

Well UTM now has a new CCIT (communication, culture and information technology) building, and 2 new residences plus there is a gonna be the new UTM library (which will be the second largest in UT) plus the new athletic centre.

Yeah I don't like the gangster style of some of the people there, that's so stupid. But its not a generality lol

Well let's put it this way, there is more variety/diversity over there, i guess its kinda like if you eat the same pizza topping everyday you'll get bored of it (what a bad analogy )....actually, in commerce the girls are friggin ugly at UTM too, but the chicks in the arts, humanities and CCIT programs are pretty cute
