Is this offer still on?
Also comparing against the td first class infinite, it has a 3% earn rate but 9% when booking travel with td Expedia. Which card comes out ahead for travel rewards?

Edit: and if there are any high rollers here "You will earn 4 points per $1 on the first $50,000 in purchases", 1 point/dollar after that

You might wanna look at TD first class again, I think 3% is only on travel purchases.

This offer is good till the end of the month!
TD FCT is definitely not 3% and 9% return. It is 1.5% return on regular purchases (but you do get 3 points per $) and 4.5% return on purchases through Expedia 4 TD (9 points per $)
if it was 3% and 9%, everyone would be fighting to get this card

I wonder who down voted this deal...I guess some people have standards that are too high for it to make it as a "deal"

First off thanks OP for the post. Secondly, I’m not a Scotiabank customer, if someone on here randomly sent me a referral code and I used it to sign up on their website, is that all I have to do?

Yes and asking for referral or offering a referral in forums is not allowed on RFD. So please edit your post.

I’m probably going to sign up for the points then cancel the card...what’s the best way to offfload the points? A quick look at their rewards site indicates there are certain redemption tiers and that exactly 35k points may not be completely cash redeemable?

You can convert the points to cash or scene points....however best value is redeeming against a travel purchase....1 point = 1 cent when doing this. Any hotel, airfare, etc.

Ok just wanted to confirm that redeeming for travel outside scotia system would still equal $350, which you’ve confirmed if I understand correctly?

Silly question - Can one hold two of these cards at once? For some reason I recall someone saying they had two of these at the same time...
