I thought if it was under $10 the item was free, .. over $10 and they knock off $10 of the price being charged.. I could be wrong though

Sorry, I meant $69.99 each.

It's less of a deal, but the points you get back still make it a deal.

Yeah .... but today is a 20x optimum points day. So in that sense, it's not a bad purchase either. For $80 purchase, that translates to 16000 points. That's redeemable for $20 minimum at least depending on how you redeem it.

Thanks. Just googled it.

So what happened here? The drive scanned higher so they gave it free?

Went to my local shoppers at 9:05. The lady behind the electronics counter said she didn't know what I was talking about. She called the manager who told her that he had already sold the 2 he had come in. Kinda fishy that the lady that works behind the electronics counter had no idea when "supposedly" they were sold only five minutes before. I doubt they made it out to the floor.

SDM/Pharmaprix weekly advertised sales/promo are 'BAITS' especially electronics as certain stores carry them and usually their inventory is non-existence due to unpredictable sales. I am slowly having 'SDM/Pharmaprix sales withdrawal' symptoms and hopefully, I finally 'cured' myself with one last optimum point redemption by this year. :o

Sorta off topic here but does ANYONE know a loophole for using shoppers optimum points to buy gift cards? I'll have the 90/95k points, whatever the top level is very soon and I want to redeem for Xbox gift cards, but apparently I can't. Is there some way to buy other stuff, then return for in store credit and then use that for the GC's? Thanks in advance!

The shoppers near me has 3 in stock. I asked why it's 1.5 instead of 2. She replied that they probably didn't get the 2TB and so subbed in the 1.5 and didn't think it was a pricing error but a stocking error. I asked "so you're selling a 25%!smaller drive for the same price? It's not cheaper?" "Nope, that's the price".

Good price even for the 1.5 but I don't really need it so I passed.
