Dell also has 8tb at 249 right now. alittle cheaper gb/$ than the 129.

I need another 4tb. So I went looking on Pc Part picker. And 40 cents is around the cheapest these come in just under 40 cents. And the drives are decent. Seagate vs WD can go on all day so please. This is a deal hunting forum
Only show me a deal if its cheaper gb/$

I value these drives for offline backups off video files, I do a wedding its typically 200-300gb footage. (4k fs7)

So 4tb 129. vs 249 8tb. seems like a great deal, also most 8tbs are archive drives, they arent nearly as good for what i need them for.

So has anyone ever seen a cheaper 4tb for less than 129? Seems like a hot deal.

My personal preference is on drives with power, They are faster and more reliable. just statistically the portable drives do fail more often. so for what i use drives for offline storage. These externals with power are better. less likely to ever lose data. also easier to repair / data recover a 3.5" drive, costs less than a 2.5" drive.

4tb?

Id consider this, 6$ more, and in warehouse you mean in person can buy it in any Costco in GTA?

I did not know about this, definitely worthy esp if its a 2year warraty extenral, vs the seagate 1year vs. 3 if you buy a actual drive.

Edit:
I cannot find the 4tb external for 138,. please advice
Cheapest i see it is 159

Dell are also doing 4% on eBates at the moment ($5.16) and the usual 5% back on Dell Advantage ($6.45).

Costco prices are always lower in-store than on the website, and not all products in store are listed on the website.

would one of these HD work with xbox one?
Any USB 3.0 drive should work with XBox One, for the convenience of having a physically smaller drive & not needing an external power supply you're probably best off with a portable one like the Seagate blazed16 mentioned above.

You should put "Seagate" in the title...

Yes, but you void the warranty doing so.

Since this one requires no external power supply, any harm in leaving it plugged in all the time (thus, always on with your computer)?
You may corrupted the file system if the portable drive is accidentally unplugged without unmounted correctly. This the problem that it may happened if one leave a portable drive plugged in all the time.

I own two of them and they are on 24/7 since I bought them last October. Staples had them on for $119. Obviously we can't go back in time, but these have been cheaper.
