edit: I had the wrong drive originally
it doesn't seem a bad price though, but it can be had for better. Unless it was 2.5", that would be a good price.

Seagate 500GB External HD eSATA $159 instore only at BB
I am not sure whether this is a hot price or not but It is a good price considering it is eSATA.
I saw this drive at BB instore only. Not available online.

Thanks champdood it is exactly the same at BB as shown in your link.
It is 3.5"
PCV online has a better price than BB, but for me it is more convenient to buy it from BB.
Thanks for your input.

This is the Freeagent Pro drive.
FYI... the Freeagent (regular) was selling at TD for about $99 usually, but a while ago they had the FreeAgent PRO for about $100 as well, and is the same as this one (w/ eSATA).

I bought the 500gb Seagate Freeagent Pro for about $180 in November 2007. Its the older dark brown one and the esata doesn't work at all - many reported problems with it and no resolution that worked for me. The Memeo Autobackup program is great, though.

This is ridiculously expensive. 500GB HDDs go on sale for $60 or less, and you can get a damn nice eSata enclosure for a hell of a lot less then $100.
Hell, here's a 500GB WD in an enclosure for $50.
http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/s...d.php?t=688838
Sell the enclosure, buy a nice $40 eSata enclosure, and still be $70 ahead.
Hell, you could buy two of these and 2 eSata enclosures for $160.
