Sears' Return without Receipt Policy

I need some help....

Have a pair of shoes from Sears. Initially I loved them, but now I want to return them. Haven't got the receipt anymore (but purchased within the last 30 days). Will Sears give me a refund via gift card/credit note/merchandise credit?

I can't think of any store that has a strict no-receipt-no-return policy, but Sears is out of my way, so I'd like to know if it'd be a lost cause before I head out.

thanks in advance.

I believe they issue you a store credit at most.

I'm gone RFD! Staple…
If it's a Sears house brand and there are no Sears tags on them, they'll give you cash. If you still have any of the tags, just bring them over and they'll refund it for you.

The most they will give you is the "No Receipt Price" on a gift card. Thats the lowest price that the product has ever been on sale. Unless you get a really crusty associate and/or manager. If thats the case ask for the phone number for the president's line and watch them shrivel like an apricot in the sun.
