Second daily train between Vancouver and Seattle
This is probably mainly of interest to people living in Vancouver, but also could be helpful to people visiting here:
They have finally announced a second daily train between Seattle and Vancouver. It's a trial project that is supposed to start sometime in August and run until a bit after the Olympics.
The current Amtrak train leaves Seattle in the morning and returns to Seattle in the evening. This new Amtrak train will leave Vancouver in the morning and then return in the evening.

It's about time. Unfortunately hasn't shown up on Amtrak's schedule yet as far as I can see.
