I've been to both Tibet & Mongolia (Inner). Heard these songs sung throughout the place.

Well, the older generations have grown up under the influence. Even if they know it to be false, the song lives on as just that -- a song. You can sing a song about drugs and violence and not believe in it.

Hello all...
I marked the thread and only had a chance to look at the youtube clip now... Who is DJ Ron? Is he the guy singing in the clip? Also is the person singing dead? Someone else mentioned him 'the old bastard' dying... is that guy dead? I am sorry if there is some irony or joke that I am not getting... but I thought the singer was talented... though I have no clue as what he is singing about.

The mandarin part is amazing, but I personally feel he butchered the song. I was expecting some old-school Beijing-accented mandarin :razz:
