Selling Civic 2006 sedan
Mine's been in 3 accidents (2 minor, 1 damaged front) with about 57000 km mileage. Now insurance found out about a new not at fault accident where someone scratched my car.
Any ideas how to get the best price for my car? Should I trade it in or should I sell privately?
Car works perfectly.

You thinking this car is bad luck so just get rid of it? Or is it really not as good as you say. Your insurance company will know you have a new care and will charge you the rates that you have accumulated. A new car will not get you out of high payments.
Either trade in or private, you have to disclose the vehicles history. You may have trouble selling it privately once you start to tell the potential buyer of the accidents. I know I would walk away. On a trade in you may get an OK amount, depending how poor sales have been and how badly the dealer wants to sell a new car.

Trading it in might at least allow you to actually sell it. I doubt anybody would buy it with that many accidents unless it was dirt cheap.
Although I've seen worse when looking at one used car, which had the following issues:
US fleet car, write off and 1 year in scrap yard, fixed and imported to Ontario, moved to BC. So at least yours is not the worst out there
