sending a dvd overseas
Not sure if this is the right forum for this but anyway
I want to send a dvd to someone overseas. I just realized there is a small "not authorized for sale or rental outside the us or Canada" note on the back of the dvd. So my question, is can I still send this dvd? Am I actually breaking any laws if I do? I'm not a business or anything and I just want to send one dvd.

If you're sending a gift to a friend, it's fine. No one will care. Make sure your recipient can play the DVD with region coding and all that.

Oops. I accidentally reported the post instead of replying.
Anyway, yes, it's perfectly legal to ship it overseas. The note only applies to sales since different companies might have distributon rights in different countries.
If the person you're sending it to is a retailer who wants to resell the DVD he would technically be breaking the law, but that's none of your consern of course
