Anyways, I got the 439s at FS during Boxing Day. I'm no specialist but my only complaint is that I wish they were a bit louder. When I'm listening to music on my iPhone I'm listening at nearly max capacity all the time.
I find the headphones extremely comfortable but I guess that's subjective. I find my gfs over-ear Beats unbearable compared to the 439s. The sound does however come through to people around you.
Overall, for $50 I'm not ecstatic but I'm keeping mine.

The loudness probably has something to do with the fact that they are low impedance (or was it high?) headphones. Therefore, your iPhone doesn't have the juice to power them properly. A remedy is to get a headphone amp.

Thanks for the advice. I might just get one if I can pick it up on the cheap!
