Man, I remember getting these about 8 years ago. They were my first pair of decent headphones. I used them for a bit then got something better. I gave them to my sister and she broke them.....

used some paypal credit I had left over from a GC Rebate. Looks like a good deal, I can't say I really needed them though.

Not sure if answered but are these headphones noise isolating?

Still bit skeptical on them for sound quality. Hearing minimal bass on these, thats a deal breaker. Pay the extra $65 and get the HD429s which would blow these away.

Id say these 201s are good for anyone who listens to the radio or elevator music but for real music off FLAC or uncompressed files, these headphones wont cut it. My UE Super Fi 5 EBs IEMs would blow these away.

I don't have them yet, but I would think they'd be too big as when my kids were that age (just over a year ago) none of my over ear headphones fitted them, all ended up slipping too far down their little heads
also, the long cord is a right pain.
whatever you end up using, just be careful to keep the volume pretty low :)

Not actively noise-isolating. They are closed-back, so it would isolate a bit, but supposedly it might not be enough in a loud environment like on a bus. Sound quality would probably be better than the average headphone but not at the level of Sennheiser's really good stuff.

I think that they would be too big. I would invest in a child's headphones as they have a built in volume limiter, as to not be too loud for their little ears. Plus they fit better.

I ordered these during Neweggs boxing day sale for $20 and they're a great price for the sound. They actually sound just as good as my $150 Sennheisers (that I also bought on sale). My only complaint is the cord length.

Thats what i figured, you get what you pay for. Having used $200 IEMs for the past 4 years, hard for me to go back to $30 budget ones.

Ill get these instead, much better

Thanks, OP, I ordered last night - couldn't miss out on a good headphone deal. I don't have any headphones, so this was great to get a good deal.

Edited to add: Whoa, mine already shipped out with a tracking number!
