I had a friend pose this question to me and even though it has never been a issue for me I thought I would throw it out to my fellow RFDers. If you do not own a watch and experienced a power outage where do you get the time so you can set your clocks. My friend has told me not all tv stations that display time like CP24 have the sametime even if they are in same area as another channel in same locale plus there are times I never noted this till my friend pointed out if you watch some news programs in the morning they will have the time in the corner but show traffic cameras of the various highways and routes the time is often more then a minute apart. Anyway with this being said what do you do?

^ LMAO.
+ 1 for JJJ. A cellphone, or an Ipod perhaps? How about a laptop? Or dial 0 on your land-line and ask the operator. LOL.

+1, and so does OP for not being able to answer that question.
So what if the time is a bit off on the TV? Is a difference of +/- 5 mins going to kill your friend?
Ask your friend this, how does anyone know for certain the correct time?LOG IN TO THANK No one has yet thanked lioncar for this post.

My clocks connect to the Atomic Clock and set themselves automatically. Never need to adjust them. They even change with DST.

I have a $10 clock that runs on batteries, which I also use as a backup alarm clock, so that if the power goes out in the middle of the night it'll still go off in the morning.
