I would agree, and unfortunetly good looks gives a LOT of advantages to people in everything from work, to relationships. Its unfortunate we live in a superficial society, but eh thats life. I'll admit I am really superficial too when looks at chicks, I'm not going to lie.

I am afflicted by this as well. All of the women on television who are written to be smart, logical, and witty have ruined dating for me.

The Ladder Theory disagrees except for the "professionally". The actual profession isn't what matters. It's the income or power generated.

One thing ladder theory does not address (yet) is that a steady income is more desireable than a slightly higher but inconsistent income. The doctor who makes $90k/year is more desireable than the salesman who makes an average of $100k/year with each year varying between $60k and $140k.
