Sharp TV problem... hmm
Well, once in a while, I'm watching TV, and I can see that the brightness of the TV starts adjusting itself.
It's gets a bit darker, then brighter.
Could it be my cables, or my TV.
I don't have other component cables, so I have no way to check.

Yes, it's OPC. Google on how to disable it.

Hi, I had the same issue with the same TV.
Its not the OPC as the OPC is Off by default.
Its the dynamic contrast. What you need to do as others have stated is switch to movie mode where the dynamic contrast is disabled.
To do so, flip the lid at the bottom of your Sharp remote control. There's a button called "AV Mode". Click it a few times to get Movie mode. The Dynamic, Standard, and Dynamic (fixed) modes all have Dynamic contrast. The other 3 modes don't.
Hope this helps.
