On my Mi box this crashes the moment i try to launch it. Any suggestions?
Which Android software version is on your Mi Box? If you have a Chinese Android box which runs on regular Android instead of the Android TV operating system, you'll probably have success with that. The Xiaomi Mi Box has a locked bootloader which means that flashing custom ROMs on there or rooting the device is not possible or easy to do.

Good stuff. Is your NVIDIA Shield TV running the stock ROM with Android 7.x Nougat?
It is running 100% with my Nvidia Shield TV [Full Android Nougat v.1.2 ROM].

I have tested on Minix Neo x8h, running on latest firmware 009 - Quad-Core Cortex A9r4 Processor - Video Output HDMI 1.4b, up to 4K @ 30fps. its will only work on Live TV, but it does not work on Popular TV Shows and Popular Movies. It plays for like a few seconds then it restarts again.

Its Android TV. I found that using an older release of freerange tv worked better on the mi box. I just had to reboot it after installing it. Also, i can't get any version of android TV to work on my nvidia shield tv.

I have an Amazon FireTV (firmware 5.2.1.1) and tired the modified version linked by GabbyWC in post #27 but didn't have any luck. Does anyone have it working on a FireTV?

Thanks

Has anyone been able to get this to work with newer Android TVs like the Sony X900E?
