I think shaw has a new HD PVR, which is around 450-500. Check out the forums on digitalhome.ca as I remember seeing a thread on there last week about it.

Shaw HD PVR
I'm looking for any deals for Shaw's HD PVR. I'm already a customer, so I can't use the 'trade in your satellite receiver' deal, and $700 for a HD PVR unit is an insanely high price.
There are some on eBay, but as of March, Shaw is no longer activating 3rd party units. Which sucks.
So any deals that you know of?

I got mine at visions for $618 or something like that... cheapest place I could find (that's their regular price)

If it is an option switch to Starchoice. I think it wiil cost you next to nothing for a HD PVR.

Ya, I can't get satellite at my apartment unfortunately. Otherwise, Bell had a great deal for a free PVR that I would have jumped at.
450 seems reasonable for this unit to me. If I were to spend 700, it'd be on a new computer with windows media center.
