[Auto] Shell Car wash certificate on Airmiles.com is back

In my experience, gift certificates of any kind from AirMiles, and Shell car wash certificates for certain, are delivered by Canada Post first class mail. There is no tracking, no signature and no delivery confirmation. The CSR you talked to probably meant it was sent out on time. They have no way of knowing when/if it was actually delivered.

I think some of the bigger orders were sent out by courier (Expresspost?) and required a signature.

Unfortunately, looks like they are lost in the mail (or stolen).

As _dc_ wrote, they use regular mail.
That's why I divided up my large orders into a few smaller orders as losing it in the mail was one possibility which came into my mind.
All my orders arrived within one to two weeks of my order before the dead line.

Used half of my points to redeem car washes. That's my first redeem tryout after multiple years with Airmiles and as of now and I never received them?
I ordered last February.
I contacted AirMiles last week and finally got an answer today that as it's been over 120 days, they can't do anything. But she said that in her records it was delivered on time? Do they ask for signature upon reception? As clearly, nobody signed for anything about that in my household.

+1... my order of 54 certificates (108 washes) was sent using Xpresspost and I had to sign for it. Not sure at what point would Airmiles send it by Xpresspost rather than regular mail. I recall my first order of 10 certificates was sent by regular mail.

Very frustrating moment. Spending years using AirMiles and on first redeem doesn't work. The kind of situation that would make me throw our 2 airmiles cards to trash.

How many certificates did you redeem for?

Honestly, if you redeem for them back in February and you only inquired about them last week, it's partially your fault for not following up with them sooner. Even if you just followed the posts in this thread, you'll know that you should have gotten your certificates within 1-2 months.

How much did these things cost anyway? Stumbled on it while researching what to spend my points on. Too bad I missed out.

Many, many years ago, they were 150 AM for 5. That changed to 75 AM for 2 and stayed that way for years. For the last few months of its existence, it was 95 AM for 2.
