I enjoyed Shenmue, but is isn't really my idea of a good MMO.
Now, Phantasy Universe Online on the other hand ...

Shenmue Online trailer
This trailer was released back in July, but I haven't ever seen it. I've been anticipating Shenmue Online since I first heard about it in 2004. I've been waiting for a sequel to Shenmue II for ages.
The web-quality trailer feed can be found here: http://www.gametrailers.com/umwatcher.php?id=9424
You can grab the FULL quality version, 447MB, here:

Watch the full quality version if you don't mind the wait (took me about 15 minutes to download it, they seem to cap their send rate per user).
No word on whether or not they're bringing it to North America, but DAMN that looks awesome. I haven't played a massively multiplayer online game in years, and I'm not even much of a gamer, but I'd sure as hell love to play Shenmue Online.
How about the rest of you? Would you be interested if Shenmue Online was brought to North America?

It's not even made by Sega from what I've heard before. Some Korean company is making it. PSU is looking really fun. I'd totally jump into it now if the Japanese version takes foreign cc like PSOBB....crap.

The gameplay looks almost non existent from the trailer. There doesn't seem to be much variety at all in the fighting. I loved the environments in the first two Shenmues, but you can clearly tell from the trailer that beyond that, it has very little going for it; other MMORPG or the solo games could provide the same fulfillment. The fighting in the online game looks a little unpolished (MMORPG wise) compared to the solo games.
I was pretty excited about the game until I saw the trailer.

From a "Family" reviewer: "We Cheer teaches coordination, enticement to lust, women being used as sex objects, and team work."
From Worthy Playing: "We Cheer is, then, for all intents and purposes, the F-Zero GX of music games. It asks for so much, yet forgives so little. It is actually so casual that it's hardcore."
