Dropped off my BB/Alden Cordovan Captoes & AE Strands for GTA Shoe Shine since he did such a great job on the boots.

Did anyone import shoes of EU origin since late September? Just wondering if there are any duties on footwear from EU since the CETA was provisionally implemented on September 21.

I received a pair of Vass shoes last month and was only charged PST and GST. Looks like CETA is in effect regarding footwear. The shoes were made in Budapest and shipped from Brussels.

Wearing mine today
Unfortunately, mine see rare wear these days. I find the combination of narrow toe with wide heel just doesn't work for my feet.

I need some shoe advice. Looking for shoes that look good with a dress shirt and pants, but can also be worn casually with say, a good pair of jeans. I like to dress well, but my profession doesn't really encourage it, so I have to be careful not to overdo it, and there are definitely days where I have to dress down. I don't really like full brogues / wingtips.

I liked the Allen Edmond's Fifth Avenues in walnut, but I'm worried that might be a bit too dressy (they're also fairly expensive right now). Do you think the walnut Boulevard's (a derby) would work better, or are they still too formal looking to work well without a suit or blazer?

I mostly wear charcoal and greys these days.

Get a pair of dark brown plain toe blucher/derbies with a solid sole, preferably double sole.
