Can't say we didn't see this coming. I think they figured they could spend millions to develop a user base and then sell the business. Didn't work. I'm sad for the people losing their jobs.

I think their business plan was to spend millions on discounts to build a big user base and then hope to sell to someone like Amazon. Didn't work.

the free 3000 Aeroplan miles + free $50 credit promo abused by all of RFD must've led to this

stacked coupons to sale items back in the days. I stopped buying when they stopped giving coupons.

super overpriced which always turned me away, but like most people here, I benefited a lot from their early days, getting video games, xbox live cards, etc for free or very very little.

I purchased two different items that between stacking coupons, rebates, cashback from site, etc I was able to get paid for buying the items. Those were the good old days

Drew Green moved on. I read about it in the news.

indeed...its "success" on rfd was due to how easy it was to double/triple/quad? dip on deals during the early days with all those coupons and promo codes. Along with 20% ebates cashbacks it was insane with referrals to/from other "family members" for the added bonuses.

Aside from the early days with the coupons and cashback, they weren't competitive at all. Their regular prices are outright terrible.
