the thing about my z10 is that I have 2 extra batteries with the z10 battery pack bundle, so battery life isn't a huge concern. I read a lot of pdfs, z10 does... alright with that, the passport is pretty pricey still. :/ maybe I'll wait for a deal on the passport.
ji2o0k wrote: Both the Q10 + Z30 have wayyyyy better battery than the Z10.

I have used all 3 and at this price, definitely recommend the Z30 over the Z10.

Only drawback of the Z30 is the not as crisp resolution and non-removeable battery vs the Z10.

Battery is a non-issue for me but might be for others...no idea...

There's got to be taxes, if it is a Canadian website.

Ordered a Z30. Price in CDN which makes a huge difference, and only shipping, no rip off import tax. Literally 2 mins before this thread opened I was going to buy the equivalent Z30 on ebay which came to $450 CDN. Great deal.

Actually, the discount on the employee price is considered a taxable benefit to the employee so it's probably better to buy it direct from shopblackberry.com if you're fair to your employee friend and don't expect them to pick up the income tax for you.
toguy wrote: Z30 is indeed a great deal, as it's only $50 more than employee pricing IIRC, but must resist.

That may have been true before, but that policy changed this year I believe. It was not true with the employee discounts that were released this past summer.

Tri band LTE 4, 5, 7 (850/2100/2600 MHz)
Quad band UMTS/HSPA+ 1, 2 ,4, 5/6 (800/850/1700/1900/2100 MHz)
Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)

So yeah it will work (1700 and 2100MhHz)

Either way, Amazon is pretty easy to install. I've only installed a few Android apps, I get most of what I need in the BB App World or via the browser.
I heard when BB os10.3 comes out the Amazon App store (android) will be available or perhaps come with 10.3 OS. That was one of the huge moves JohnChen made when he took over BB. 10.3 should be out very soon.

Given that wind seems unlikely to carry more Blackberries after choosing to sell none. 240 taxes and shipping in seems reasonable for an unlocked, direct from manufacturer, phone. Not much spec difference between this and classic anyhow.

Thanks OP!

word is WInd is getting the Classic but not the Passport. So it came up to $240 after taxes and shipping? I thought someone said it was $221....

That Z30 price is fantastic.

Just sold mine for a Passport, but if the Passport hadn't come about i'd still be 100 satisfied with the phone. 10.3.1 also makes that phone fly!

Well when I ordered it showed a 20$ price for shipping charges and then another for tax....

Also how reliable is said word? Their twitter's said nothing... DM or in general...
